PURE JOY MOVEMENT
The home of your Yoga and Movement Practice
Rediscover the way your body was made to move; through joy rather than expectation of reaching a certain physical level.
Have fun exploring your body again, and perhaps find your lost inner child along the way!
Remember a time when you were younger and you could move in any way you wanted without aches and pains for no apparent reason?
Let me help you feel that way again! I am dedicated to helping people feel forever young in their bodies and minds, find joy in exploring movement, and maintain functional mobility; enabling them to continue enjoying their favourite activities for as long as possible - all through a combination of yoga, primal movement, and mobility exercises.
Yoga and Movement Classes
In the stunning Silver Coast of Portugal I offer in-person classes with the breathtaking Óbidos Lagoon as your backdrop. Practice outdoors in the fresh coastal breeze; the perfect way to melt away that morning stiffness, and explore my unique movement classes designed to support your well-being and movement journey.
"Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day. "

Private Sessions
Looking for more guidance lacking in group classes? Do you have specific needs and require an adapted practice? Or perhaps you want a deeper knowledge of yoga or mobility which doesn't come across from attending an group class?
I can offer private sessions both in person and online. Taking the first step is the hardest, but if that step were as small as just messaging me with a simple enquiry, then I truly believe you have it in you to take that step.
Are you a desk worker who experiences pain in your neck and upper back?
If you are a busy professional who prioritises work and productivity over conditioning your body, and you believe that your physical mobility is a lost cause, then think again. Here is a freebie 10 minute desk yoga routine that will help you take the first steps towards better posture.

Meet Charlotte, founder of Pure Joy Movement
Since I became a yoga teacher I have been fascinated by anatomy and the science behind the connection between our health and movement. The more I've learned, the more I've realised how bodies are made so differently and that there isn't a one size fits all exercise, or way to perform yoga poses, for every person.
I have learned to 'unlearn' classical yoga alignment, and to help remove the tunnel vision through which we all view our movement practice. My mission now is to help you all embrace your individual variation by learning to move your body in all the ways it was made to; outside the limitations of specific yoga asanas.
