Yin/Yang Yoga

A unique practice combining Hatha and Yin yoga styles, sprinkled with a few mobility movements.
We first warm body in a dynamic and opening flow to loosen the stiffness of the morning, finishing with longer holds in some poses to explore its deepening release in the joint tissues and achieve the power of restoration. I remind you to prioritise your breath, and to practice with complete mindfulness - deepening your self awareness.

Get back to the roots of the way we were made to move and make the most of your range of motion.
Designed to explore the natural, dynamic potential of your body, this session combines mobility, primal movement, and yoga to move your joints and muscles beyond conventional boundaries. Through fluid transitions, diverse ranges of motion, and playful, full-body engagement, you'll build strength and resilience.
Sunset Yoga Flow

Unwind for the evening with a gentle Hatha flow and rhythmic vinyasa.
A gentle-paced evening yoga flow to wind down for the day and stretch out your joints after either sitting or being in action all day! Either way, movement for the body will do you good while we practice to the beautiful evening setting of the lagoon.
What to Know:
⦿ Classes will take place in an outdoor scenic location overlooking the stunning Lagoa de Óbidos, so make sure to bring weather appropriate clothing and perhaps sunscreen. On rainy days, the classes will be moved indoors.
⦿ Please bring a thick towel or blanket to use as a prop. Mats will be provided.
⦿ Try not to eat any meals 1-2 hours before class.
⦿ It's not unusual to experience profound emotions during a yoga class. The practice combines movement, breath, and mindfulness, creating a safe space for physical tension and suppressed feelings to be released and processed. You don't need to expect to feel anything, and indeed you might not; just don't be alarmed by or suppress what may arise. This is healing in process and freedom being unlocked!
Please don't worry if..
It's your first time
All classes are beginner friendly! I know just how it feels to be new in a class and the sequence is rushed, and you lose steam because you can't keep up and then you tell yourself this isn't for you. I give detailed cues so you'll feel like you're doing the right thing every step of the way. It's okay to ask questions or take breaks. Learning is part of the process.
You're not flexible
Flexibility is definitely not a requirement to join yoga! It's rather a result of frequent practice. Every individual is on their unique journey, with different abilities, so comparing yourself to others is no use. In order to unlock the freedom of enjoying how your body moves, you must focus inward, celebrate your growth, and let go of judgement.
You're not "fit enough"
You think "I’m too out of shape for this." My classes are for all fitness levels, and I provide modifications to meet people where they are. Simply showing up is a big step toward fitness!

Improve flexibility and mobility
Movement using muscular effort will increase your range of motion while stretching will target the connective tissues as well as muscles to increase flexibility.
Enhance neuroplasticity
Mind-body practices in dynamic movement improve neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and form new neural connections. This is particularly beneficial for emotional resilience and cognitive function.
Nurture mental health
Physical activity triggers the release of endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin, which improve mood, reduce anxiety, and create a natural sense of euphoria. Practicing mindfully also improves focus and concentration, which will increase your productivity.
Healing from the inside out
Yoga activates the parasympathetic "rest-and-digest" response. It stimulates the vagus nerve, which governs body functions such as breathing, digestion, heart rate, immune system, and more; optimising our internal health.
Join a community
Plenty of my students have said that an unexpected benefit of attending my classes was meeting new people and feeling accepted in a very warm and friendly environment. Studies of Blue Zones (regions with the highest concentrations of centenarians) show that community is linked to longevity.

Private Classes
If you’re looking for something more personal and tailored to yourself, I can offer 1 to 1 classes. This is a good option if you want the class to have a more specific focus based on your needs, or if you feel you require more guidance which is lacking in group classes.
We can arrange private sessions both online and in-person
